Question:

Budgie beak problem?

On occasion my budgie's top beak goes into his bottom beak (he seems to purposely place it there). He does not do this all the time. He is otherwise healthy and happy. He has a cuttlebone, tonnes of toys that I change up, fresh water, seeds and pellets. His beak doesn't have any other apparent malformation. What could this be?

  1. The first responder recommended cutting the beak.  This would be very painful.  Please don't do that.  I doubt that there's any problem to worry about, but if you wanted to be safe about it, you could take him to a vet.

  2. well i think first u should cut the beake.just a tinsy bitsy part then if the problem does not get solved take it to the vet.it may have something to do with what its eating.hope i helped.by the way ur budgie seems adorable.
