  1. A spacious cage with minimum dimensions of 20" long x 12" deep x 18" high. Ideal size of a budgie cage can be 40" long x 20". You can have a cage that has horizontal bars so that your budgie can easily climb on them. Attaching perches with different diameters or branches with some angling is more comfortable for your budgies feet.
