Budgie..on vacation?

Hi, My name is Zack I'm13 years old...

I know i have the time to devote to a budgie - however i don't have one yet

What i am wondering is if i get my pet bird then within the week of getting it go on vacation

will the bird get mad and me/depressed?

Also - To ddeterminea time to buy/order one how long does it take for a bird to be weened

there is a chance he may get lonely, i have birds they do get lonely but at my house i have four so not really. but they do need to get food and water so you may want to get a friend to came over and check your bird and give him some food and water to make sure he's ok.

Make sure you provide optimal care while you are away and your birdie will forgive you. Buy him some extra toys and give him some of his favorite healthy treats. Birds do get upset but luckily they are forgiving as well. He may be mad at you when you get home and he may bite you to let you know he was upset that you left, but just be extra sweet to him and he will forgive you. The only reason he got mad is because he loves you so much. Birds are extremely intellegent. Respect their feelings and they will give you so much in return.

If you have a friend or family member closeby, make sure to ask them if they could watch/ spend time with your bird while you are gone. That way, the bird will still be getting the food/water it needs and the attention it needs as well.

regardless of mad/depressed he will have to eat in a week.itll be ok, just put a radio on low for him to listen to. you do have soemone who will come and feed him right???
