Budgies and eggs?

i have 4 birds in a cage 2 male 2 female.on female is 3 and the other is 1 maby less but the younger ones cere is still a really light brown.i was wondering if eather could lay eggs they have a nesting box each.and how can i tell if they are about to lay any eggs thnx

  1. the female would spend alot of time in the nest box or on the floor. i think a male would feed her because she would be ready to lay on the eggs for weeks so ya..


  2. You can tell if there about to lay if the female is constantly in the bird box and you notice the male feeding her. You probably wont notice eggs in her stomach.

  3. well for 1 seperate the pairs unless its an aviary because in cages they are more than ikely to fight each other plus the c***s may mate with eachothers hen which will also cause injury or death to either bird. ive already experienced this with the first ever birds i bred.

    are both females with brown crusty ceres then yes itws possible for both to lays eggs. be careful when breeding the 3yr old as she hasnt experienced egg laying yet and is alot older.
