  1. If you give them a piece of toast to nibble on and hold it for them they will stop being afraid of your finger. Get them used to fruits and vegetables early so they'll have a healthy diet. See if you can hand feed them.

  2. Well the easiest way to tame your budgies woud be to first get them used to your voice everyday talk to them so that they reconise its you. After that slowly evryday put your hand in the cage and try to hand feed them at first they will probably fly away but don't give up keep trying to hand feed them hopfully with perseverance then they will eat from your hand. So now that they are used to you try putting ur finger towars their feet making sure you tuck ur them in so they don't get intimidated by it and do that everyday and they will hopefully become tame.    hope it helped.

  3. When I bought my budgie, I let him out one day and held a piece of lettuce, he flew straight to my finger to eat it. I just kept doing it everytime I let him out until he would eventually come out of his cage straight to me. I could put my finger in the cage and he would rub his head against it, he loved attention.

  4. you should clip there wings, and then you should let them outside  the cage ,using a stick. put stick under their belly and they will hop on the stick ,then you bring them outside and you should feed them with green salad from your hand so they will realize that time out with good food is connected with you been around

  5. 1: Get your parakeet to trust your hand:::Slowly move your hand into their cage, and just set it there. Go as close as you can without your parakeets flying nervously away. If they do start flying, dont jerk your hand back. You need to show them you wont hurt them. When they calm down you can slowly move your hand out and try the next day.

2: Feed then Millet out of your hand::: Slowly move a piece to them and feed it to them. After a couple days of this...break off a tiny piece of millet to give to them, so your fingers are closer. Note: skip this step if your parakeet dosent like millet.((most do, but my new budgie dosent and hes the first bird of mine that hasnt loved millet))

3: Getting them on your finger::: Most people perch train first, but I dont. I will give you a site in the source box that has perch training listed in the steps. I see this as useless. Anyway. Just move your finger slowly to them and move your hand under their feet and push up to their chest while saying, "Step up." This will take weeks. If your parakeet has one foot on your finger during the first few days of Step 3, then dont move your hand. You need to show him that when you touch him you wont hurt him. This way he will be more likely to put both feet on.

  6. First of all, don't clip their wings. There are lots of internet sites. You can offer treats such as spray millet, broccoli etc. You shouldn't feed them lettuce or avocado as it is bad for them or human snacks or high carb streats like bread.

  7. I trained mine by sticking my hand in the cage while watching television.

Do this for a couple weeks, . Then make a kissy noise and gently put your finger under their feet. If they get on your finger.. just sit there still .

Do this for about 2 weeks to a month.. shut the windows and close the drapes and put towels over the mirrors ( they will run into them and possibly get mortally injured if you don't) a smaller room is best. ...

then gradually  allow the bird to sit on your finger and gently and slowly bring him out of the cage.

Make the kissy oises ad put your finger in the air. When they land on it.. slowly put them in the cage.. Continue this.. over and over.
