Budgies!? ! !!

Question

I was wondering, what do budgies rank on the list of most talkative birds?

I want someone who knows what their talking about to answer this.

ok so budgies can be very talkative. but you have to have a male because of there raspy voices. and u have to pick out the right one. i used to have a budgie and he was very friendly but it took him a couple of years to talk but once he started he used to follow me around the house and ask me what i was doing, it just depends on how much attention u give it and the personality of the bird. and as for what they are ranked i'm not really sure.

Maybe yours is not the talkative one. My one is okay. The previous one talks the whole day, haha. The one now only make weird noises and it would talk just non-stop for a day without getting thirsty. Phew.

females rarely speak, if they its not much, males on the other hand have the abilty to learn dozens of words and phrases but not all males speak,   goodluck!  check out www.parrotcentral.net for good bird info

ok so ive heard they do, but i have one and it doesnt say a word. She is like 3yrs old and i can barely even pick her up. Budgies are honestly not one of the most friendly birds, go with some kind of parrot.

Because there have been budgies that have vocabularies of hundreds of words and phrases.  They are little birds with little voices but they are excellent little talkers.  (Not every bird that is capable of talking will actually talk.  Please don't buy a bird solely on talking ability.  Love him even if he never says a word :-)
