Ok, Im not a Bud guy but I do like Michilob Ultra and Mich Amber. I also really liked the fact that it is the oldest and Largest beer maker in the US. I would have thought they would be the last American company to sell out to an over seas company. Now just think the purchase of our beer will go to help other economies grow (European). I am looking else where like Shiner Bock or St. Arnolds (American Beer) what about you?

  1. Okay I have been back and forth on my fav drinking beer. Recently I have been drinking Bud and craft beers were second. With the beer and money leaving the country I will go 100% craft-well some very good world-class imports are my exception.

Stella sucks. If you say Bud sucks and you love Stella you are a fool that knows nothing about beer and the brewing industry.

  2. Michelob is owned by AB.

"I also really liked the fact that it is the oldest and Largest beer maker in the US."

Largest yes...oldest no. Yuengling is the oldest.

If you were that concerned about it being American owned you wouldn't have been drinking it in the first place. It has been a publicly traded company for decades. As a result it has had foreign investors making profits off of it ever since.

I looked elsewhere a long time ago...mostly because I like my beer with flavor. You should find your most local microbrewery who employees people from your community, pays taxes in your community and supports charitable organizations in your community.

    PS:

Sam Adams isn't brewed in Boston...it is brewed in Cincinnati and at several Miller plants around the country. It is based in Boston and they run a small "experiment" brewery there...but that bottle you picked up at 7-11 was made in Ohio most likely.

  3. I will probably look (or taste).   Gives me a new excuse for drinking beer.   Now, where was that question about using excuses to generate electricity?

  4. Boulevard Beer. Kansas City MO.

  5. whats the deal with some americans only buying american beer. whats wrong with buying it from other countries?

  6. Sam Adams....brewed locally in Boston, MA

  7. I never drank that p**s anyways. I'm glad it's not American anymore. It was an embarrassment just like Fosters is an embarassment to Australia.  Now we can move on with our real beers like Samuel Adams and Shipyard

  8. According to what I read, the company was sold for $500 billion dollars.  You know what I find odd?  A large majority of Americans drink and rave over "European" beer.

  9. i really like the Miller Lite

  10. I have never cared for any type of Bed beer anyways - go for Corona, Blue Moon, Yuengling or Sam Adams - yummy!

  11. Bud light is my fav....but, I will find a new brand, or quit drinking....I am not supporting a company that is going to make more americans lose their jobs.

  12. I've been drinking nothing but European beer for 15 years now.   Call me what you will, but American beer sucks hard.

Give me a Stella Artois any day.

  13. Now that the Belgians own Budweiser, will they charge an imported beer price?

Anyway, nothing beats a cold Moctezuma from Mexico.

  14. I don't drink Budweiser and I rarely drink Bud Weiser products...maybe Bud Light Lime every now and then.

    Go with Coors, or Miller
