Buffalo Bills LB Kelvin Sheppard out of training camp for unknown medical reasons – NFL News
The Buffalo Bills are expecting back middle linebacker Kelvin Sheppard on the field soon after he missed a few days due to an unknown medical issue.
At the time the player was ousted out of training camp, the only reason coach Chan Gailey gave was the medical issue. The official did not elaborate what exactly the matter was.
Chan said the LB was set to remain absent from the training activity for a couple of days or maybe more, and since then the player is on the sidelines watching the teammates doing workout.
Kelvin himself has maintained a mum on the issue, which could be due to some sort of warning from the managers to keep him quiet on the matter. There is no other indication from any circle to help determine the actual cause of the player’s sudden exit from
the camp.
It has been about a week to the start of training camp and no other player is reported to have suffered such an injury scare that will require him to leave the camp for a certain number of days.
For example, defensive tackle Marcell Dareus, was held out of the practice for an hour on Wednesday after he reportedly complained about tightness in his legs. The team allowed him to be on the sidelines for the final hour of the practice and he showed up
fully fit the next day.
Some commentators see Kelvin suffering some sort of fatigue issue. The player may need a couple of days' rest to restore his energy and strength.
The ongoing training camp is the first fulltime extensive workout activity for the National Football League (NFL) teams and occurrence of injuries to players are very common during this phase. In a majority of cases the players who spend the offseason in
a rather relaxed style take time to adapt to the challenges of training at the camp.
Luckily, as the team reports, the player is not ousted for a longer period of time and will return to action soon.
