Buffalo Bills QB Vince Young’s lawyer Trey Dolezal disputes $1.7 million loan claim – NFL News
A new aspect of a company loan that is allegedly acquired by Buffalo Bills quarterback Vince Young has emerged as the player’s lawyer Trey Dolezal while disputing the payment claims said that he doubts his client is aware of making any loan request or signing
loan documents himself.
Trey has further claimed that the company had directly worked with the QB’s former financial advisor Ron Peoples.
It is pertinent to mention here that the player has already sacked the advisory firm and his former agent Major Adams and filed a case against them that they have plundered $5.5 million from him during the tenure they worked for him.
Vince’s lawyer said:
"Let me say this, according to Pro Player, they dealt directly with Ron Peoples. We believe that Ron Peoples was involved in this loan, contacted Pro Player, was the go-between between Pro Player to get this loan, and Vince never even know this loan was
taking place."
He added:
"There are some problems with that signature, whether or not, No. 1, it's Vince's signature and, No. 2, whether or not that signature was supposed to be attached to this document."
The attorney’s statement has emerged a day after claims of default of a payment due in May this year had emerged in media.
The QB has been directed, apparently in a ruling by the New York statement Supreme Court, to pay back $1.7 million high-risk loan he had borrowed in 2011 at the hefty interest rate of 20 percent. The interest alone now amounts to over half a million dollars.
Meanwhile, Ron Peoples and Major Adams have denied the claims of Young’s lawyer. They said they had initiated the loan but the player was also involved in the process.
The emergence of contradictory claims from both sides has nevertheless put the loan issue in a dispute. The player is certainly going to face some difficulties.
His lawyer went on to say that the company was trying to harass his client at the time when he was trying to get back onto the field to start the next season.
