Buffalo Bills Stevie Johnson in Philadelphia for groin surgery, will be available for OTAs-NFL News
The Buffalo Bills are less likely to be affected by a groin surgery of wide receiver, Stevie Johnson, as his agent, CJ Laboy, called it a minor procedure and added that the recovery and healing is not going to be a lengthy process at all.
Laboy told a local media outlet that the player will be available for all offseason and preseason activities of the team, a welcome assurance for the managers who have just started pulling the squad up together again before going into training camp and preseason
games.
It is pertinent to mention that the National Football League (NFL) has already announced game schedule of the 2012 NFL regular season.
With draft being over now, the teams are heading into their respective rookie mini-camps for induction of new players and to help them do some light workout with their senior teammates.
The agent has not commented on the possibility of Johnson’s ability of taking part in the mini-camp, which looks almost impossible given that the player is already in Philadelphia for the operation.
He will definitely be out of any activity of the team, scheduled to be held as early as next weekend. There is no as such disclosure of the timeline of his recovery from the player himself.
He tweeted to thank his fans and teammates for the support they have shown to him. He wrote:
"Just got in The Hotel here in Philly. Thx to Everyone that sent a message concerning The Op."
Johnson is suffering the groin problem since last year. He played through the 2011 NFL regular season with the injury but did not go for a surgery. Now he has free time in the offseason and can utilise it to get the problem fixed forever.
The player finished last season with the record of 76 catches by putting up total 1,004 yards. He also held seven touchdowns passes during the course. He remains to be the main performer for the side and has had helped the team in victories at many occasions.
