Buffalo Bills face against Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 13 – NFL Preview
Even though this game looks like a done deal for Buffalo Bills, it will not be that easy as they face reviving Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 13 game on Sunday, December 02, 2012, at Ralph Wilson Stadium, Buffalo, New York.
It will be a nice opportunity for Bills to get back in contention for the wildcard playoff berth. The team has struggled to find consistency.
On the other hand, Jaguars are in joyful mood after getting their precious second win of the season in Week 12 by defeating high-flying Tennessee Titans.
Backup quarterback Chad Henne has been a revelation for Jaguars this season and the team is gearing up to get their first back-to-back wins since the 2010 season.
Ever since coming in place of starting quarterback Blaine Gabbert in Week 11, Henne has completed 33 out of 59 passes for a massive 615 yards for an astounding six touchdowns.
Henne gave a breakout performance against mighty Houston Texans in Week 11 and nearly gave the struggling Jaguars (2-9) a victory in overtime. He finished that game with 261 yards and two touchdowns.
Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey has even indicated that Henne has a chance to grab the starting spot for the 2013 season. Mularkey said:
"He's made some good throws and some good reads for us. He, too, has things he can get better at in both games that he's played so far, but he's being very smart with the ball, especially in the pocket."
Jaguars offence has been benefited by the upbeat performance by Henne as they have averaged 30.5 points per game.
The offence is likely to be benefited by the struggling Bills defence that has allowed an average of 29 points per game this season.
Bills are 4-7 and coming off a heartbreaking 13-20 loss against Indianapolis Colts in Week 12.
Bills offence also seems to be clicking at the right moment as both running game and passing game gave good performance last week. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick said:
"I don't really want to project or talk about the next however many games we have left. It's all about `Go get back to work and try to win next week.' It's all we can worry about."
Wide receiver Stevie Johnson finished Week 12 game catching six passes for 106 yards while running back C.J. Spiller carried the ball 14 times for 107 yards.
Bills offence will have a high hand against Jaguars defence that has allowed an average of 28 points per game.
Both teams are currently showing mediocre performance. However, Bills have a good number of talented players available in their camp and this game is of pivotal importance for their playoff hopes.
