Buffalo Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick frustrated by inconsistent play from offence – NFL News
These certainly are desperate times for Buffalo Bills as the team heads to do-and-die part of the season. In these circumstances, losing games after coming close to wins makes things difficult to accept. This is the situation which quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick
is going through right now.
After getting a ton of criticism for his turnover-prone output this season, Fitzpatrick is now looking desperate to find consistency in his as well as the rest of offence’s performance.
Fitzpatrick was available for the media on Monday, November 26, 2012, after the practice session and expressed his disappointment about the way Bills lost 13-20 against Indianapolis Colts recently. He said:
“It is tough because you look at our record. We are 4-7. Last year we started off hotter, we started off with a better record. It is frustrating to turn on the film and watch to just see that it is a play or two here or there.”
The entire offence has been prone to giving away turnovers while Fitzpatrick leading the pack with 11 this season. Fitzpatrick carried on and said:
“The biggest thing is we have been inconsistent. Unfortunately the last month or so we are heading in the wrong direction in terms of our production has dropped off and is not where we want it to be. For us, that is disappointing. We just have to continue
to work and continue to fix things that we are not doing well.”
Fitzpatrick first has to solve his own worries as the quarterback is ranked 31st among 36 starting quarterbacks for the number of deep passes attempted with a mere 17.1% of the passes thrown down the field this season.
One part of the game where Fitzpatrick definitely has to work on is to be decisive on the field. On many occasion, he has thrown misplaced passes that has hurt the team badly.
With the team having a 4-7 record, rectifying the mistakes will be hard nut to crack for Fitzpatrick as only five games left to play this season.
