Buffalo Sabres played host to the Toronto Maple Leafs in another one of the weekend match-ups. The game was expected to be close but it turned out be pretty much one sided. Both teams had numerous goal attempts during the course of the match but Buffalo
Sabres were the more productive of the two sides and won the match 6-2 in the end.
This was the 785th game of the 2010 Compuware NHL Premiere Series which was attended by a massive crowd. Drew Stafford, winger of the Buffalo Sabres was outstanding in the match as he scored 2 goals and made a very important assist which guided
the Sabres to a win.
Buffalo Sabres made a great start attacking right from the start. Even though all of their men were involved while going on the attacks, but the defence was still very impressive as they managed to cut down all dangers. Toronto Maple Leafs made a few goal
attempts in the period as well but they weren’t able to convert any of the chances into goals.

from a decent strike. Continuous attacks and brilliant pieces of play saw the Sabres extending their lead to four goals in the 8th minute with the goal scored by Tim Connolly.
However, the attacking mentality and involvement of all men in the attacks left open spaces at the back. This resulted in the Toronto Maple Leafs scored in the very next minute through Nikolai Kulemin from a tip in shot. Nevertheless, Buffalo Sabres regain
the advantage with their fifth goal scored by Drew Stafford in the 15th minute. After this, it was all about Buffalo Sabres who kept on attacks.

and kept on attacking. But it was Buffalo Sabres scored the final goal of the match to seal the win. The goal was scored by Thomas Vanek from a decent strike in the 17th minute.
