Such as red beans and rice, gumbo, jambalaya, etc.

Used to eat at Seaport on Bourbon Street but it closed after Katrina.

  1. Don't go to the one at Harrah's.  We went Saturday night and it was terrible and expensive $27.95.

  2. I think a fun buffet that has a nice sampling of new orleans style foods in a fun atmospher would be the Gospel Brunch at New Orleans.

    Also a good buffet

    Harrah's Casino

    365 Canal St., Suite 900

    533-6000

  3. The only place that you will get New Orleans food in a buffet type of setting would be the casino buffets.

Harrrah's Casino is your best bet, they will have seafood, gumbo, boiled seafood, pralines, and many more authentic dishes.

Next, I would suggest Boomtown Casino on the Westbank in Harvey.  Their food is pretty good, and there are seafood nights on certain days of the week.

Also, try Treasure Chest Casino in Kenner, LA.  It's on your way to the airport, and they have a great Sunday morning champagne brunch, with authentic dishes, like BBQ shrimp, gumbo, red beans, and other fine dishes.

Keep in mind that the cheaper of the three will probably be Boomtown, but the best will be Harrah's.

    ENJOY!

  5. Not a buffet, but the Napoleon House probably has the best menu of New Orleans dishes: http://www.napoleonhouse.com/menu1.html

The Hotel Le Pavillion does a lunch buffet that always includes local dishes:  http://www.lepavillon.com/

Coop's Place has a sampler on the menu:  http://www.coopsplace.net/Menu/entrees.h...
