http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gianluigi-Buffon-c14833 sticks to his claim that the penalty kick was falsely awarded, but he was also of the opinion that their loss wasn’t because of the bad decision
After seeing replays from several angles, everybody seems convinced that the decision was an awful one and so does the Bianconeri goalie but he observed that it was not the deciding factor. The fact that the opposition was better
than them was the reason behind the loss.
"The replay is clear, it wasn’t a penalty, but that wasn’t the reason behind our defeat," the goalkeeper commented.
The faulty penalty took place half an hour in to the match. That gave Juve a full hour to recover from this deficit, but the equaliser never came. The visitors never got their head in to the game, despite having the possession
of the ball for the most part they failed to make a difference.
"We had an hour to get back into it and weren’t able to do so. There are many incidents like that over the course of a season.” Gigi Buffon went on to say.
"If people want to find excuses for a defeat, it’s simple, but I believe the best way of explaining it would be to say that the opposition were better than us and we deserved to lose.” The keeper concluded.
The key that culminated in the loss is still elusive for the shot blocker a day after the match. But he exclaims that there was something different about this game, something that was crucial yet still not easy to pin point.
In defence of the keeper, he tried his best to parry the shot by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robinho-c31382 and even got a solid hand on the ball. But the ball still managed to find the netting somehow.
Juventus are still the leader with 32 points from 14 games. But yesterday’s defeat has blown the contention for the first position wide open. Fiorentina and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan, who are a close second and third, have now got a window of
opportunity to draw level with Juventus. Fiorentina having already won against the Rossoneri previously.
