Question:

Bug help!?!?

My aunt gave me some clippings of a honey suckle plant in a mason jar with water to grow some roots. I have had it in my kitchen window for several weeks and just have been adding water as needed. I noticed yesterday that there are tons of little swimming things in there. They look like little sperm. They are good little swimmers. They are very small. Anyone know what they might be?

  1. Pika is correct.  You can throw the water out and put in fresh, but they are likey to reappear.  My suggestion is to pour some vegetable oil (about 1/8") onto the water.  It will keep the larvae from breathing (yes, they breathe air) and prevent reinfestation.

  2. mosquito larve live in water
