Question:

Bug identification?

Okay - I live in the Garden State (New Joisey!), and we found a weird bug on the bathroom wall the other day. Of course, I have no pictures of it, but I went to insect identification sites, I had trouble catagorizing the little bugger! Actually, It was about 2 inches long, and brown. I can best descibe it - if you can picture this - as a cross between a big daddy longlegs spider, and a grasshopper. It had the spring - loaded hindlegs, and very log, thin antenae. Anybody have a clue as to what it might have been? We set it free outside.

  1. There are many species of crickets and grasshoppers it the order orthoptera.  A tree cricket has very long antenna and long legs.  try these.

  2. There arew so many possibilities without the  pic.

    Here are some possibilities:

cave cricket, although they usually live in caves, they like dark, damp areas, such as a bathroom.
