Bug problems in my home, mostly crickets and s**+*?

In my house in New York, our basement was turned into living space, complete with its own air conditioner. There's two small windows as well. But I have a serious bug problem. No matter how many times I get an exterminator to come spray, they keep coming back. Huge crickets, like the size of a quarter or silver dollar, and all other sorts of nasty little bugs. What can I do? I know for ants you can have like, ant traps and stuff, anything like that for bigger bugs? Any suggestions welcome, thanks.

Try Windex. I sprayed that all over the concrete floor in my garage and let it dry....bugs didn't come back after that.
