Bugs In Carpet what kind and what is the cause?

I am starting to find bugs or something walking around on top my carpet what is it??? Dont tell be there carpet beetles cuz I looked em up and it doesnt look anything like that or a beetle in general. Its like long slitherly...(yuck).. um black kinda small with a bunch of legs. Does anybody know what they are called and where they come from. Again its about an inch or so long. Slitherly slimly lookings with a bunch of legs. Help what are they and whats the cause???

Look up "earwig" and see if that is what you are seeing. If so, it should tell you how to get rid of them. They like damp places.

it could be a breed of silverfish.
