Question:

Bugs around my sink area...?

I've been seeing these bugs around my drain in my kitchen sink, but I've also noticed them outside as well I was wondering if anyone could possibly identify them. Serious answers only please. They are black, look kind of like beetles, oval shaped, have a hard shell, and wings. Like I said I do see them outside but the only place in the house that I've seen them is always in the sink, near the drain. Thanks for your help.

  1. My friend had bugs in her bathroom sink around the drain, what she had were called drainflies. To get rid of them you would have to clean your drain thoroughly, since drainflies breed in decaying matter within your drain.

  2. doesn't sound like a roach. I'd still probably call an exterminator. some companies will come out to give you a free inspection.  trying to get new business,of course. but they will know if it is something that can be a problem.
