Question:

Build a temporary wall for haunted house?

We want to build a haunted house in my garage for this halloween. It's a two car garage and I would like it to stay that way after we are done. I need ideas on how to put up a floor to ceiling wall that will last one night for the cheapest amount possible. I want to have three different rooms in it, at the very least, and to not be able to see the lights from one room in another. Thanks for the help.

  1. We used black plastic and thumb tacks or tape it worked great low cost no damage. have a spooky good time.

  2. the wall itself would probably be easiest with 2x2 (you can sheet it with cardboard to save money) use screws so that when you pull them out they basicly just drop back down (the only "damage" done will be some holes in the drywall which can be fixed with some spackle, sandpaper, and paint). if you are using the cardboard on the walls that are already up i'd just use some staples or small brads to hold that up.

we used to use cardboard on the sets of the plays i was in in high school and they can be painted no problem check appliance stores for big sheets of cardboard from boxes.
