The only thing i have on my resume now is training - two classes at boston casting ( on camera classes) & i'm about to take another one (improv ) so i'll add that.

I don't know what i can do for experience besides plays because my school doesn't have theater and the town theater isn't that good. I know some people are saying do like independent, student films or something but how do you find them ?

thanks :]

  1. If there are acting studios, community theatres, or college campuses nearby--go there and ask them what opportunities are available.  Audition for everything.  Even if the town theatre isn't that good, at least there is one and any experience is good experience.  At the very least, auditioning for one of their shows will provide you with something to put on your resume as well as something fun to do while you learn more about the world of acting.

  2. Whatever you can find. Don't be too fussy about where you go, so long as you do your best in it. You never know who might be watching. Then again, IF it's a genre you hate, there's no point being there. However, it's ALL experience, grist to the mill. Even when things go wrong, you can learn something from it. And even in the big productions, things can and DO go wrong. A lot.

  3. Literally, go to a nearby acting studio and ask them if they need extras, for any movies/TV shows.  I do this all the time.  It builds your acting resume and allows you to be close to all the famous people you love. If you want any little tips I am available.  Just e-mail me!

  4. Well google it search for auditions for independent or student films i've tried myself looking for me and have found many
