Build your own Hovercraft?

Question

I was watching an episode of Junk Yard Wars on foxtel the other day and they had a hovercraft build and race.

Does anyone know the best sites to have a look at for designs?

Both of the designs used on the Junkyard Wars hovercraft episode from 2000 (American teams) were inspired from Universal Hovercraft designs. The Long Brothers single engine hovercraft was just a UH-10F Entry hovercraft without cockpit sides. The Twin engine Scrap Daddies craft was typical 2 engine bag-skirted craft, much like a UH-13T, except we made it from aluminum tubing and stretched canvas since it only had to perform for 1 day and did not have to float on water.
