  1. the lens is for a still camera, not video. even if your camera could remove its permanently attached lens (which it can't) you would lose the focus and iris control. while manual focus is no big deal because this lens can be switched to the manual position, the inability to set exposure level is!!! The image formed by the lens is about 1.5 inches wide. The CCD in the PD150 is 1/3 inch, so your 35-80 mm lens will become 175-400 mm equivalent super telephoto, not a very practical range unless you are limited to shooting distant birds.  FYI a 35mm still camera lens is nothing at all like the lens used for 35mm motion picture film cameras so it will not bring the magic of movies either.

It is possible to attach a supplimental lens to the 58mm diameter filter ring, as is common practice for getting the bug eyed wideangle shots used in skateboard videos. A supplemental lens is a diopter to slightly change the focal distance of the camera's primary lens.

  2. I would advise against this for 2 reason:

    1) Unless you already have 35mm lenses, why bother? Good 35mm lenses can be super expensive, and you can't "fake" those.

    And more importantly...

    2) No offense, but the PD150 is not a good camera. It does not shoot progressive scan, it does not shoot 24fps, it does not have accurate color or gamma. No matter how your lenses look, you're never going to be able to get a true filmic image out of that camera.
