  1. I would lash 4 truck tire inner tubes to the underside and you're set!

  2. If you can get some Styrofoam to fill the inside of the raft it will make it alot more buoyant. This is what we used to use when we made rafts.

The best advice I have is to make 2 long paddles that are the same length, nothing worse then one long and one short paddle, we went in alot of circles that day.

  3. WELL...THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO BECAUSE I DID IT AND I WAS SUCCESSFUL TAKE SOME INNER TUBES PUT 1 IN THE MIDDLE AND PUT OTHERS AROUND IT ALMOST LIKE A FLOWER AND TIE THEM UP....AND THERE YOU HAVE IT

  4. inner tubes bro... or get some old gas tanks. just make sure they dont have any holes in em. or styrofoam works good too.

last resort, just put more wood under it. wood is naturally bouyant.
