Building My Own TV Stand?

I want to build a tv stand. But how do you do that like do you glue the joints together and nail them or glue them and use screws or what also how much is it to rent a saw from homedepot. Or what else would I need.

  2. that all depends on what you are building it out of as well as how you cut it. Most of those can be built using finishing nails, which are thinner and have a smaller head than most nails. You can also run a little bit of wood glue along the edges too, be sure to wipe any that gushes out. the boards can be cut at 45s if youre feeling creative,or just butt them up. either way, finish nails are going to be the way to go. for a board that may be extra weight bearing, you can use trim screws. theywill be a little stronger than the nail, andhave a smaller head than normal screws.

  3. i woud use glue & screws

    you can get dry wall screws with a corse thred and thay

    will hold good (dont know about the saw)
