  1. This is the horse racing section. There is a pets>horse category that would be more appropriate for this question.

  2. Here you go,

    1. get a 55 gal barrel with both the top and bottom still on it

    2. get 4 poles about 12 foot long

    3. get 4 garage door springs and some rope at least 1 1/2 inches around.

    4. get some old carpet, enough to cover the barrel

    5. get a baseball bat.

First dig 4 holes in a square about 10-12 foot apart.

set the poles in concrete about 3 foot into the ground

take the bat and knock in the sides of the barrel just a bit so it is not so round.

cover the barrel with the carpet. You can just wrap it and then use duck tape on each end to hold it in place.

attach the garage door springs to the top of the poles. it is best to use about 18-20 inches of chain between the poles and the springs. then use the rope to attach the barrel to the other end of the springs. Just shorten the rope to make it higher off the ground or longer to make it lower to the ground. It should be about 5 to 5 1/2 foot off the ground. That way it will have room to drop when you sit on it and still have enough room to work (buck). If you have a welder you can weld about 6 inches of chain onto the barrel where you want to attach the rope. That will give to a way to attach the rope and make less stress on the rope where it attaches. After it is all in place get on and have 4 friends pull the ropes and have fun.
