Ok, so I have asked a lot of questions lately on this subject, but get the same answers. Not that I am complaining. I want a computer mainly for school work, but for a little gaming, Not all day long, time to time type gaming. I would like to FSX game on decent settings, mid-way. or just enough to pull the jetway out with no lag. I have Microsoft XP, Word, FSX. I need to know what is the best materials to use. Which parts would fit in an $800-900 range including a monitor. Thanks

  1. A EVGA 512 MB 8600 GT card will do great, and make your games look great for a couple years for a low price. You can buy it directly of www.newegg.com or at this link I got for you: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as... . There are different versions depending on which your motherboard supports. It will make your games look awesome, and it's not really expensive, it's a solid board especially for a non-gamer.

  2. Get a ready put together one... won't cost you any more $$

  3. http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Public...

This is the best I could come up with. Its $910 without shipping, but I think it is the best value for your dollar. You might be able to find a few better deals on some other webpages, but the site I used (newegg.com) generally has the best prices.

Building your own computer (99% of the time) is cheaper than buying a pre-built one. Unless you can find some kind of killer sale, building your own will save you money.

Good luck. If you have any other questions, feel free to email me.
