hi ive decided to do a project of building up my own custom made freeride bike with second hand/new parts from a range of 'classifieds'. I was wondering how tough or how much roughly it would cost.. i would like.. decent frame (doesn't have to be anything special) mainly the perogatives are.. disc brakes and gears and fairly light. Thanks :) All info welcome :)

  1. you can have mine for 5000 its a 07 giant glory freeride with x-0 derallier and shifters.

and juicy 7s instead of the 5's

i upgraded it insanely and paid 7000 for it.

building it custom is alot more expensive. depends if you want top of the line your looking at $10 000- $14 000

if you want something that can do everything and is unbreakable but still reasonalble its probbaly around 6000-7000- my bike is the best fr bike i have riden im selling it as i begining to race DH.

you will never get a freeride biek as light as a dh bike as they have to be built soild.

    good frames are:

    giant

    cove

foes-they have a few issues wouldnt buy one

    karpiel-highend hucking bike

    speciallized

    good shocks anyhting triple crown

    888- are great and cheap.

dont buy fox40s or boxers they are dh forks.

gears you want the best id say x0 but they will cost 750

you can always run x-9 which are great as well.

rear shock probably run a fox dhx 5.0 it has bottom out ressitance.

discs juicy7s for sure or the new shimano saints.

however building the bike with second hand parts it may be slightly cheaper.

if you want any info on anything message me.

    hope this helps.
