Hi, I am building a computer and it is my first time so excuse if I am make some mistakes. I was able to obtain a intel quad core processor free so I am building the system around that. Here is a link to the specific one <a href=://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a...

Here are the links to all the parts I am interested in; I would greatly appreciate it if the someone could let me know ifunnecessaryompatible or if they feel that some parts are not very good, unnecessary etc. and I should get something else. However, I am not interested in changing the cpu. Ps. I am attempting to build a high end gaming computer. Thanks in advance!

  1. Hi i was going to help you but the link to the CPU doesn't work so i cant so if you re link the CPU and Ill take a look.

Everything else looks good however i would get a cheaper mobo its a bit pricey that one and a cheaper one will do just as good.

Also i don't think you will need such a high voltage PSU seems kinda high but there's no problem.

****** Hi again cheers for letting me know. Ive had a look and all seems good. People usually miss the socket type on the first go so that's all 775. Also you will need to think about a CPU cooler . I recommend Arctic cooling products for a CPU cooler. just shop around and make sure the socket for that is also 775 like your CPU and mobo.

. With the graphics card being overclocked its likely to produce much more heat that it should do so keep that in mind. Maybe buy a cheap temperature sensor to attach to the card to make sure it doesn't get to hot however looking at the fan factory case youve picked!! i i dsont think its going to be a problem in fact you better make sure the fans dont asll turn your components to ice!!

However bearing in mind dont forget about noise Grapics card, CPU cooler, case its all gonna produce *noise.

    Hope this helps

  2. What windows operating system are you using?

Good choice on power supply and G-Skill ram (I have some in my computer).

I can't really say anything about the Intel motherboard other than it's an ASUS; good choice. I have the same brand in the 2 computers I built, except I use AMD processors.

I can't say anything about the Video Card either but if its a Customer choice award winner, it must be okay.

I CAN say something about the case !!!!

I bought one last year, it looks good and it looks like it will keep your computer cool with those big fans but it seems very flimsy to me. When opened the box, took it out and took the top part off some of the parts were damaged. I don't know whether I damaged it when I took the top off or was it already damaged but I do know that I had got a replacement, it might have got damaged again. I returned it for a refund and got another case later.

I didn't get any hassle from NewEgg either about the return and always and will always buy my computer parts from them.

  3. well the link to the CPU didn't show up and really need to see it to know about the mobo cause i think you can get a cheaper board and get the same performance and use the money else where. video card i would forget that one and go with a 9800GTX they are only $200 on newegg as for the DVD burner you can get a good one for $30 off newegg i would go with the ASUS myself everything else looks good though

  4. go to a computer shop and ask for buy a all computer parts for bulding a computer.
