Building a computer need help with some stuff?

i am wanting to build a computer (over time)

i want a 4870 or 9800gx2 a q6600 and two gigs of ddr3 ram

what power supply would i need for the card

i was a 650 watt is that high enough?

im looking at a full tower with 2 250mm fans as well if that makes a difference

and what card should i use?

also whats the difference between ddr2 and ddr3 ram both are 1066

the mother board supports both

  1. Check the video card's specifications, there's always a suggestion for the power supply. The difference between ddr2 and ddr3 can be easily found by using search engine.


  2. don't go for the graphic card spec yet  those can change in a split second i recommand going for the important devices like motherboard and and ram.

    the most serious question is Are u a serious gamer and make sure u buy a computer that can last at least 5 years without any modification that are not out yet.people are ready to adopt new tech but are not ready to bear the consequences example window vista when it first came out.....people change back to xp in a heartbeat  so choose cafuly....good luck in choosing  (",)
