I have no idea what type of power supply I should get, nor do I know if this is all going to fit in the case, or if it's even any good.

The only thing I will more than likely not change is the processor. I have faith in the Core 2 Quad processors, and I feel they'll outperform the duo's someday. :D

Anything else is up for new suggestions.

And, if you know of where I could get some red LED lights or such for the inside of my case, that'd be great. I couldn't find any on Tiger, nor Egg.

Thanks in advance. :]

  1. everything would work together but....ur motherboard and Graphic card they would work together but U wouldnt get the full avantage the card has to offer. The card is PCI E 2.0 but ur board only supports PCI E other then that everything seems great. the will still work tho

  2. If you have no idea of SLI and Crossfire or have no intend on using that you may just ditch combos with mention of them to save some money.

Not tip top efficient but it works wonderfully nonetheless.

  3. first, the stuff is fairly good, the cpu & cooler are good. the 4870 is  an excellent card but be aware that they are LOUD when the fan is on high. i have a 4850 and it is louder than the rest of my fans. NZXT makes good cases but i havent ever gotten a response for getting replacement side panel which came cracked. you might want to get a board with an intel chipset for crossfire rather than an nvidia chipset with sli which is only for nvidia cards. crossfire is an ati technology. i would recommend a X48/X38 board or a P45. X48/X38 supports 2x PCI-e 2.0 x16. P45 only supports 2 in 8x mode. but it is substantially cheaper. for the power supply, look for 80 plus efficiency for some power savings, also there are several online calculators that allow you to estimate the minimum power requirements of your system. look for brabd names pc power & cooling is good, corsair lots of them. it should all fit in the case and be sure to get an antistatic wrist band and maybe some tools, you can pick them up at newegg under pc tools in hardware.

  4. Before building your own system you need first take certain factors into consideration.

    1. The purpose of the for which you want to use to machine for.

Knowing the above can help a lot to know the type and speed of mobo to use as well as RAM and HDD.

But the size and shape of the Computer Case is determined by the FORM FACTOR of the mobo.

So I think you have to take a critical look at the purpose the form factor as well. All the best

  5. WELL SEEMS IMPECABLE...........BUT.....

SLI  SLI   PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU DONT REGRET GO SLI TWO CARD  WORKS FAR BETTER ,,,

AGAIN MAKE SURE THEY ARE THE SEMM FOR SLI

    CONFIGURATION....

ME IN YOUR PLACE WITH THIS MOSTER I DONT WASTE MONEY ON REG DVD BURNER...GO FOR BLU RAY THEY ARE CHEAP NOW THEY READ AT FASTER SPEED THEN REGULAR DVD BURNER,,, AND REady TO PLAY  GOOD LUCK ON YOUR RIG  VERY NICE
