Building a gaming pc to run warcraft 3 frozen throne?

Question

I would like it to cost less than 500 but i dont want to spend more then i have to i just want to play this game with no lag and extremely good quality, this is a old game i dont think it would be to hard: http://compactiongames.about.com/cs/real...

also if i would have to only pay maybe 100 dollars more to get a much better pc then i would do that i have to get a new monitor and new speakers to maybe a new mouse and keyboard later and i cant spend that much i can run the game on my computer now and this computer is really old 6-7 years windows xp and it runs it good but i get lag spikes and the quality could be better

do you think this is possible the most i could spend would probaly be 700 for new montitor speakers and a new computer JUST to play this game top quality i want to get my parts at www.newegg.com it would be really cool if you could list the parts i would need

Yeah you don't need much horsepower for Warcraft 3... most any current computer with a dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM and $60 video card can breeze right through Frozen Throne.  See my answer to your earlier posting of this question- I thought you meant World of Warcraft!

For Frozen Throne you don't need a $120 video card- something like a Radeon 2600XT or Geforce 8600GT is more than enough.

WC3 is an old game, you don't need a whole lot of power unless you like to play custom games with lots of sprites, then a good video card is a must.  I originoally played wc3 on a P4 1.7ghz 128meg ATI video card and 2 gigs of ram of course my computer now is much faster.  If you build cheap just make sure you get at least 2 gigs of ram and a 256meg video card, those are cheap today so it shouldn't cost much.
