Building a new house and turning the garage into a game room ...need help?

The garage will be 20x20. The question is I want to have a standard size pool table, air hockey table and a shuffleboard and a small table in corner for table games ....Flat screen will hang on wall. Oh and dart board on one wall ...Can I fit all this comfortably in this room? I also have the dining room which we will not be using and it's 11x12 that we can open and connect If nessecary. But if I can avoid doing that I would like to. Tyvm

  1. You came to the right place to have your question answered. It doesn't matter if the table you put in the game room is  7', 8', or 9'. You need a minimum 5' of clear space on each side of the table. I would put a 4 1/2' x 9' table in the room if you're serious about the game. The interest in the other games will fade away but pool will last forever. I wouldn't get anything less than a super 8 table which is a few inches larger in both directions than a standard 4' x 8' table. A 20' x 20' table sounds big and looks grand on paper but as soon as you put a pool table in the center of the room it will get much smaller in a hurry. I hope that helps with your decision making process.
