Building houses and then selling them "builders question"

im 19 years old and my dream is to build houses and then selling them, so another words a builder. can u make a lot of money doing this? and is it hard doing this i mean with everything you have to do. please help me with some info on this. thanks!

Being a Builder is hard work and it can be very profitable.  However like most things that generate a big profit, it also is very risky.  Whenever big profits are to be made, big losses are also possible.  

If you are going to build spec houses (building houses on speculation) you always run the risk of building a house that nobody wants for the money that you need to sell it at in order to make a profit.
