where do i postion the axel on a trailer 2440x 1510, is there a standard formula

  1. it depends on where the load is going, if it's uniform front to back or going to be front heavy or back heavy. also  consider road clearance especially in the rear for travel dips.  also How much tongue weight you can have? and not too little.


  2. For a trailer that size you would put the axles 2/3,s of the way back from the tounge.But if your trailer is 15 feet 10 inches wide it is to wide to have on the road.The24 feet 4 inches is ok.

  4. I would always center the axle on the trailer so the load is distibuted evenly.

  5. Usualy you position the axle just over half way from the "A" frame this makes it much more easier to back-up, as your "A" frame is made longer.
