Both ladies snapped each other’s heels for 55 minutes and made this contest memorable before ending with concluding figures of 21-17, 18-21 and 21-10.
Earlier in semi-final round, Alesia stamped Dimitria Popstoikova while the Bulgarian girl Stefani ousted Swiss shuttler Sabrina Jaquet to make into Finals of the event.
On concluding day of tournament, the Belarusian campaigner showed strong character as she was not up against the native shuttler only but she also faced strong opposition of local crowd.
In opening game of the match, Alesia took a perfect start and ensured her grip over game straight away in the beginning. She gained a decent advantage with couple of nonstop rallies.
She maintained an upper hand by registering total of 11 before mid-game break but first sign of trouble came right after the interval.
Stefani, who was ranked fourth in home event, made a swift charge and pushed her challenger on back foot.
Though, she kept her opponent under pressure but it was not enough to end tussle in favourable manner as Alesia reinstated her dominance and registered decisive margin of 21-17.
However, the local shuttler managed to make amends in following game. She aroused her supporter’s hopes by winning second set.
In first half of the set, Stefani remained bit cautious but she gained confidence with some back-to-back points.
The backlash was so strong that her competitor could not stand firm and allowed her to proceed on score board until half time.
There was lot of drama in later part of the set as both contenders remained close all the way to game point situation but the native shuttler made difference by grabbing three consecutive points in final total of 21-18.
This revised status locked them in third and final set which unexpectedly turned one-sided affair.
The Belarusian campaigner Alesia ended this tussle with a significant eleven-point lead in 21-10 margin and earned the right to wear crown of Bulgarian Hebar Open 2012.
