  1. It could mean that they have a very low body fat percentage.  Normally this fat would obscure many of the arteries and veins in our bodies.  This is why you usually notice it more on people who are well toned.  It could also mean that they were just exerting themselves.  When we participate in activities which are strenuous our heart has to pump more blood through out our bodies.  Because of more pressure in the veins and arteries they can expand and become more visible.

  2. You might be developing varicose veins.  I wouldn't worry about them unless they become painful.  Then, you will need to see a Doctor.  I have my varicose veins injected every winter (so I am able to hide the bruising).  This can be expensive and is usually not covered by insurance because it is cosmetic.  I pay about $200 a treatment but it is worth every penny.  I hope this helps!

  3. Are they on the legs?

Varicose veins are veins that have become enlarged and twisted.

Check out this wiki article on Varicose veins, it may be of assistance.

  4. Low body fat and muscle structure. Then of course there's that other time.
