Question:

Bulging bag of waters = labor soon?

I did my own cervical check and I noticed something in there that felt like a tiny little water balloon. If I had to guess, I'd say it was a bulging bag of waters.

I'm just about 39 weeks.

Does this mean I'll go into labor soon or can it go for weeks like this?

I'm not having any contractions right now so I know it won't be within the hour or anything, just wondering.

  1. I have no idea what that is!!! good luck

  2. i would say that is probably your cervix, unless your a nurse, and your sure it's not.  It's probably not a good idea to check your own cervix, but if you must, wash your hands, and use gloves if possible.

  3. your entire uterus is filled with "water", not just a little balloon size. i don't know what that is, maybe muscle? but i don't think your supposed to do your own exams either? i didn't but maybe its a common thing? i am not sure. good luck anyhow, the baby will be out soon enough, enjoy your last few days alone.

  4. Wow.  I'm impressed you can even reach down there!  As for your bags of water, I'm not sure... I'm sorry!!  I'll get thumbs down for that. haha  Good luck with everything when it happens!

  5. im not sure but labor can start at any minute now hun dont put your hand down there it can cause an infection
