Bulk posting to Australia?

I'm in the UK and want to send some clothes over to my sister who lives in Oz - she can't get the Emo and Rock gear she likes. Parcel sending is really expensive - could I ship it instead? Will she be charged tax on it? If anybody has any experience in this or advice for me I'd be really grateful.

you can ship it surface mail,it is alot cheaper but can take 3 months to get there

make sure you write gift on the customs declaration so she wont pay tax on it
