Bull c**p or not? (Volleyball)?

I have a question...do you think this is bull c**p or not...

Okay volleyball tryouts for the freshmen were last week...ONly nine girls showed up including me and the coach said we wouldnt have any cuts. We worked out butts off everyday except Sunday for a week and now this week MORE girls decided to join!

Now I think that is TOTALLY unfair! I mean wtf...after us nione girls worked our butts off for a week and now new girls are coming in and now were going to have cuts!

I just find it so unfair...if those girls didnt know about it then thats their own d**n fault! Let them try out next year!

I always step up my game from now on and I am really worried about cuts...I really want a spot on this team.

So do you think its bull c**p that they let girls joing AFTER the first week of pratice...

Total bull c**p.

  1. that happened last year but it was just with one girl who was on vacation who decided to come and join and a few girls at tryouts didnt have their permission slips/ physicals and weren't able to try out the first day and they made varsity so i agree with you it is totally not fair and i hope you don't get cut!! wish me good luck at my tryouts on thursday im so nervous

  3. Relax, calm down, it should be okay...

you can definitely keep your spot.

Usually a freshmen team would have a 10-15 roster, so that the coach should open the door for 1-6 latecomers when they become available. It would be fair enough to run a second try out and fill those 1-6 vacant spots.

Should any of your 9 early birds get cut, you could escalate the issue and get the coach fired... or not (depending on your local policy).

  4. That's bull c**p.

The coaches shouldn't let them play.

As long as you make the team, then no other worries

  5. no matter how hard you worked, if you deserve to be on the team you will be

    best of luck!<3

  6. bull c**p. if anything the coach should only cut people that came late. I mean you guys already proven yourselves to be hard working awesome players.

  7. No, it's not fair. Know what's worse though? Working your butt off for an ENTIRE summer, from the beginning of June to almost the end of August and giving up all vacations and any other "fun" days to play volleyball and get better AND make the team. THAT is my situation. I didn't miss one day the whole three months, not ONE. Now that tryouts are beginning, girls are coming out that are seniors and juniors and expect varsity (I'm a returning senior). The coach said there would be no cuts even though we have a number far above what is needed. So basically the other girls that were there all summer and I didn't need to give up OUR summer to be there if you can just step o nthe court the first day and make the team. But hey, there's not a thing you can do about it. Just be happy that you get to play and that you've been picked if you do get picked. I worried about this for a month and now I realize there's no point because you don't want to cheese your coach off by complaining about it so it's best to suck it up. If your team had a few amount of girls show up, I'd say it's ok to join after the first week but you have enough and some spares for a team so I think they should shut down the window to join. Try not to let it get to you though. Worry about you and what you can bring to the team. If it ends up being not what you expected then quit and find a sport more for you. If you love it enough you'd probably go to h e l l and back before quitting, just depends on your dedication. Good luck with it though. :]

  8. It is completely bull c**p, hopefully in your case you will have a coach that is diplomatic enough to see who was dedicated enough to show up on time and put in the full effort.

Unless there was some emergency, if you want something bad enough they should have been there from the beginning.  Comming from a high school where politics are S****y, i only hope the best for you.

Keep working hard and show your heart, and it will shine through and prove that you can be counted on.  Atleast i know that is what good coaches look for.
