  1. There has been martial artists in the old days, in order to test there power and strength, they fought with animals such as bulls, tigers, bears..etc.

Bull fighting is a bit predictable, the bull will always come at you the same way. it will try to dig those horns into you. And you would try to smash its head with you iron palm and try to crack it skull. Once a good martial artist who has the power to smash bull skull and all he has to do is to get the timing right, under this huge amount of pressure.

All bull fighting will tell you is that he is a martial artist who has the power to crack skulls and the precise timing, as well as having the ability to perform a skill under pressure. It tell little of his martial art skills. He certainly have some of the factors (power, timing, pressure handling) of a great fighter.

Fighting against a tiger or a bear, now that would be a greater challenge.

Having said that, i think it is cruel to kill animals just to test your strength. It would have been better to enter martial art tournaments or UFC, or Muai Thai tournaments.. If he wants to test his power, smash some rocks, tiles.

  2. The only thing I can think of is a person called a Matador, but using Bull Fighting to train in Martial Arts - I have not heard of that.

  3. well in some filipino countries they do practice by wrestling steer in rice fields. it helps them work on there stances and plus if you can take on most people.
