  1. 10-15 feet, full penetration is not only possible, but most likely with that calliber.

  2. The sternum is not that thick or strong. The spine which I believe you would remove a large portion of is fairly strong. I have no doubt of full penetration and exit. With a 500 S&W Mag.

And a 480 Ruger, 454 Casull, 44 Rem Mag with full power loads and only 10-15 feet. TOAST.

  3. it would go through them and the person behind them and then through the wall behind them, and no, no one would live through that

  4. This round would leave an exit wound the size of a melon and still travel 400yards. Get a .357!

  5. 500 S&W at 10-15 foot

Entry wound would be about .7 inches

Exit wound would be at least 1 inch

If you use hollow point and hit the sternum, exit could be 4 inches

  6. People have relatively fragile bones. At the same time, bullets, or their core, can be soft lead but are typically hardened lead alloys (with tin and/or antimony, as a general rule).

Having treated gunshot wounds for three decades or so, I can tell you the things aren't completely predictable. It's certainly not a typical pistol round but not a 3000 fps rifle round, either, and bullet performance is going to matter a lot. But I'd expect most of the time, a good portion of the bullet is likely to penetrate fully and keep going.

  7. It will go through the bone and the man who is getting shot at.

  8. I believe so. it would go through.
