for as many members as the group has, it seems the activity of posting started to drop 7 months ago- if you're not approved within 2 weeks, more than likely the group has a MIA owner. maybe look for some other groups on the topic

Moderators have up to 14 days to approve memberships however it is vacation time for many.  When I look at the graph under the group there isn't much activity so it could be a while.
