Bully Ray injures A.J Styles in TNA Impact’s number one contender match
Bully Ray has injured ‘The Phenomenal’ A.J Styles in the number one contender match between Styles, Ray, Mr. Anderson and Rob Van Dam. The match was the main event of the TNA Impact show which was set by Hulk Hogan.
Thursday night’s show started with a review from the TNA Pay Per View ‘The Victory Road’. The first person who appeared on the Entrance Ramp was TNA World Heavyweight Champion Sting, who called on Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan to come out. AJ Styles, Ray, Van Dam and Anderson interrupted them and each demanded the championship match against Sting. Hulk Hogan and Bischoff decided a Fatal 4-way match for the number one contender. The winner of that match would then face the TNA Champion in the PPV event ‘Lockdown’.
Styles was the first to enter the ring, RVD entered second, Bully Ray third and Mr. Anderson came out last.
The match started between the four contestants standing in different corners of the ring. The players started their assault on each other soon.
Three minutes before the end of the match; Ray tried to attack Styles with a chair but the referee snatched it from him. AJ also found a chair and he tried to attack Ray but Ric Flair interrupted AJ from behind.
Ray hit AJ with a huge Powerbomb, jumping off the ramp and landing ten feet below. The two landed with a huge thud, creating a wave of shock amongst the audience.
The Emergency Medical Technicians with the doctors rushed in to help them. They put Styles on the stretcher and he was subsequently taken to a local Orlando Hospital for urgent cure. Meanwhile, the agents held back Ray, who was also injured, but kept making advances towards Styles.
With Styles being carried off on a stretcher, Ray declared that Styles will never be able to wrestle ever again.
The match ended with no winners.
