Question:

Bump(S?) on Outer Labia, getting close to Inner Labia.?

I have bumps on my outer labia, closer towards the inner labia. I tried to take pictures (that I won't post on yahoo) as I couldn't clearly see in the mirror, and consistently in the pictures I found one red bump, between small and medium sized, and a blue vein. It hasn't caused a lot of pain, just some itchiness--such as that itchiness that you get from an in grown hair (but I don't shave inside my labia, so that's out o the question). I think I've had it for a couple weeks now..I haven't touched it because I didn't want to acknowledge it and was hoping it would go away. I've had some burning during Urination, but not always.

I'm overweight, as that I've read could add to it.

And here's what you've all been waiting for--I am a virgin, haven't been fingered (with the exception of last October's Gyno visit), haven't had oral s*x performed on me, nothing. I had a pap smear and all that stuff last Ocotober, and it all came back normal.

Additional but maybe irrelevant notes--I'm on birth control, have been for over 6 months, recently switched to Yaz,but after the bump developed. I take thyroid medication. I exercise.

I don't really even notice it's there except for the itchiness, or if I feel it in the shower, but I know it hasn't been always there.

I won't be able to get in to see the Gyno until late October, so I'm just looking from some information until then. It's making me miserable.

I've also had a single bump on the labia before (but closer to the opening), but it always went away fast; like a pimple.

I'm at a loss.

  1. These could still be pimples like a blackhead (an example only).  Sometimes a pimple can be set in deeply.  I've had this happen to me before and I had to have the doctor remove it.

Cysts can grow there as well (another example only).  Sometimes when cysts occur they can cause itching.

I would recommend seeing your primary care physician to have them evaluate at least what they think it is since you can't see your gyn til Oct.

If you don't have a primary care physician I would recommend calling your gyn's office in the a.m. to let them know what is going on and that you need to see about getting in sooner because you have bumps on your labia that you need to have the doctor check.
