i have small (smaller than a dime) bumps on my left arm and hand and there only. there's about 10, mostly on the back of my hand, 1 on my finger and 3 on my forearm. not possible it's an std. i have had this once or twice before but it was only one bump and it wasn't itchy very long. i recently died my hair at home but i'm sure i'm not allergic because i have died it before with the same brand. they itch very badly and are slightly raised, white on the bump, red around(from scratching ) my parents are at work until this evening and neither have time to take me to the doctor for at east 1-2 weeks. does anyone know what it is.

  1. Google image search "hives" and see if that is what you have.

Hives are caused by the release of histamine, so you need to take an antihistamine, like Benydryl or Claritin.

  2. WELL I KNOW 4 A FACT ITS SOME KIND OF RASH I DONT KNOW OF WAT BUT IV BEEN GETTING THEM 2 U NEED 2 SEE A DOC. CUZ IF U DONT EVENTUALLY IT WILL START SPREEDING EVRYWERE. YOU PROBEBLY ALLERGICT 2 SOME THING AROUND YOU

  3. maybe its eczema...i have eczema and i had that on me 2

  4. It could be that you have some kind of bug biting on you. Actually sounds like a fire ant bite to me. But it's very hard for anyone to truly answer this question without seeing it and some true medical knowledge which many don't have.

It also sounds like it could be a mosquito bite. This time of year and with all the rains, it's not abnormal for one to get into the house and take out a buffet on an arm. Meaning biting you over and over again. We had one the other night and the little bugger got me like 9 times on my leg that i had out and not under the covers.

Spiders have been known to bite multiple times as well and cause raised up red bumps that itch. Depends on the spider.

Hives are normally fairly small, much smaller than a dime. They do generate around the same area of whatever touched it that it had problems with. If it were from dying your hair you should have them on both hands and arms. More on hands than on arms i would imagine. Unless you used gloves.

Bumps that itch rarely are in need of a doctors care. Especially if they just run their course. You say had this before so i am betting some kind of nice bug got into your room and found a nice place to try to snack on. Spray down your room with some bug spray and look for tell tale signs of a spider. Spiders rarely die with bug spray, so you should look while spraying down and see if there's one to squash. Also look around for a mosquito too. Some flies can bite and leave raised up itchy bumps. And i'm sure if i checked into it i could find several other types of bugs.

Try not to itch them and get some calamine lotion for them if needed. You can also soak a cloth in epsome salts and lay it on the bumps to calm the itching. Should be gone in a week, unless you have a bit of an allergic reaction to it and then it might take even longer. If my hubby gets bit by a fire ant it can take him a month to get rid of it. Swells up huge for him too, with a white center to it and makes him itch like crazy. It's a minor allergy for him, thank goodness. But it takes him forever to heal because of it.

    Good luck
