Bumps on legs from shaving?

After i started shaving my legs a few years ago i got these bumps on my legs. They are almost scaley. Every time now that i shave it seems to take of the top layer of these bumps and never completely get all of the hairs on my legs. I don't know what this is but it has not gone away and burns very badly every time i am done shaving. I have tried almost every kind of razor and shaving cream and have even used conditioner but nothing seems to work. Does anyone know what this might be?

  1. use a moisturising liquid while shaving

    not soap

then moisturise after, its all about moister honey

  2. This happens to me sometimes too, just make sure that you use plenty of soap and the the blades on the razor are sharp, not blunt.

  3. oh my god ! i thought i was the only onee!! except, when im done shaving my legs dont burn.

when i shave i try to avoid shaving over the bumps and just shave the hair around them so they don't get more irritated and can heal. get a shaving cream for sensitive skin and a REAL razor. (i like venus embrace) . the problem with the bumps is dryness of the skin (what my doctor says) so make sure you put a moisturizing lotion (non scented , scented ones can irritate the skin even more.) to reduce dryness. also during the winter my doctor suggested you don't shave cause the bumps will heal.

what im doing is going to see a dermatologist (because i still have like 3 bumps on one leg) to see if there is anything to remove them at all.

  4. herpes

  5. its just razor burn. a way to prevent that is right after you shave put hydrogyne peroxide on your legs then put some kind of lotion on after that. it helps a lot.

  6. ohh it has happened to me before many many many times. but since you've tried different razors and shaving cream, idkk wat it could be. you shud ask your doctor. also, remember to change your razor every month or so. :D

  7. It's just razor burn. When you get it put some moisturizer on it and don't shave until it clears up. You shouldn't be shaving everyday. It's bad for your skin. You might try using regular soap instead of shaving cream.
