The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 Under-21 player has been under the Koeln radar for some time and it looks like that he might be on his way out.
Koeln are desperate to add some firepower to their attack this January, and, Frank Schefer, coach of Koeln, considers the 23-year old striker a perfect addition to his squad.
Wagner started his professional career from Bayern Munich and came through the youth ranks but couldn’t manage to secure a regular first team place with the Bavarians.
In the summer of 2008, he chose to leave for Duisburg where he found a lot of first team action and proved his worth to the side. His prolific performances earned him a move to Werder Bremen in January 2010 but the youngster has still not been able to make
an impact for the ‘Hanseaten’.
Werder Bremen are most likely to farm the out-of-favour striker on loan till the end of the current season and it is believed that Koeln is more than willing to take the striker on a temporary basis.

January transfer window.
A.C. Milan has previously been linked with a few defenders like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Reto-Ziegler-c30895 from Sampdoria and Domenico Criscito from Genoa but it is understood that they have now focused their attention on the 22-year old German.
The young defender is a born and bred Dortmund player and in the past two seasons, he has developed into a key player for the league leaders.
Schmelzer has a contract with the Bundesliga side that will expire in the summer of 2012 but it is rumoured that an offer of around 9 million Euros may be enough to lure the hot prospect away from Dortmund.
Apart from AC Milan, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 and Turin giants Juventus are also interested in the services of the German international.
Borussia Dortmund are currently sitting comfortably on top of the Bundesliga and it is very likely that they will not allow the 22-year old to leave the side half way through the season.
