Bundesliga CEO, Christian Seifert, has expressed his delight on the amazing progress of the league as compared to the other elite leagues in Europe. He stated that the German Bundesliga is on its way up after it was revealed that the competition has come
out as the best for the second season running in terms of annual attendances.
Seifert insisted that the Bundesliga is growing every year and it will surely be competing with the English Premier League in the next few years. He stated that the competition has shown immense improvement and growth in the last few years judging from the
fact that the average attendances have increased in nine of the past ten seasons.
It was revealed that the Bundesliga saw crowds up to 12.88 million in the 306 matches played in the top flight which was a 0.7 percent increase from the previous year. It was a huge achievement considering the German League has 18 clubs competing for the
title compared to 20 in the other elite leagues in Europe.
Seifert also stated that about 94 percent of the games in the German League this season were sold out which is again the best in Europe by a good margin.
“For the ninth time in the last ten years we ve had an increase in fans going to stadiums. The Bundesliga is booming without a doubt and yet again it is the strongest league in the world in terms of attendances, as reflected in the fact that almost 94 per
cent of games were sold out,” the Chief was quoted as saying in an interview.
He added that the teams have become more competitive in the past few years and there is no team dominating the league as is the case in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 which makes the competition more excited for the families and fans.
“An exciting competition with attractive matches, family-friendly prices and modern stadiums are the key factors,” the CEO concluded.
Bundesliga was only second to the Premier League in the annual revenue generated with a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Total-c40747 of 1.4 billion Pounds over the past season.
